Amy Gobert Cormier Great Granddaughter of Pierre Achille Gaubert/Gobert and Ersula Saint Anne Jordoin, Francois Semien, and Marie Simeonize Joe Granddaughter of Paul Gobert Sr. and Felice Rougeau Gobert, Frank Semien Sr, and Mathilad Irving Semien, Daughter of Nolan and Theresa Semien Gobert. Wife of Ronnie J. Cormier, Mother of Phylicia Nicole Cormier.
Amy was born on August 1, 1970 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Nolan Gobert and Theresa Semien Gobert. She grew up in a small community called Lebeau Louisiana until the age of seven then moved to Elton, Louisiana where she spent her youth and adult years for 34 years. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, enjoys dancing, basket weaving, and photography. Amy is the Director of Public Relations and Secretary of the tribe, and is the Author of our book: Attakapas: The New Beginning .She is married to Ronnie Joseph Cormier an Attakapas native of 22 years, a loving wife and mother of Phylicia Nicole Cormier. She is also a tribal dancer, and continues to dance at gatherings and powwow’s across the world
